Nathan's pay it forward

What is Pay it forward?
Pay it forward is when you do something good for three people. When they ask what they can pay you back with, you say they have to pay it forward so nine people get helped and so on.

Part 1
What I did for Pay It Forward was to go to my church's food bank and help out giving bread to people. I chose this because my dad is the pastor so I had easy access to it and the people there are really nice. I did this act of kindness on the seventh of November 2011.

Part 2
My act of kindness went well because the people were nice and thankful for what they got and they weren't greedy. I felt good because I loved helping the people and giving to them. It was great seeing the people happy and thankful. The people reacted well to see the smile of a young face (which refers to me) and they looked happy to see me helping out. I did not ask people to pay it forward because they didn't ask me what they owe me in return and I didn't have the courage to.

Part 3
The idea of Pay It Forward is important because helping people is important. Helping people is important because if you don't, people will suffer and wander the streets broken and poor. w
When I drive past Winnipeg Harvest I see the lines of poor and homeless people and I feel sad to see them. It makes me think "how can I feel like my life stinks if I have everything I need and they have nothing?" I think my act of kindness has made a difference because not only did I give them food I gave them hope.

  2. Really great job Nathan ! I like how your pay it forward was involving your church. You answered the questions very well and I liked how you explained that "we already have plenty of food and sometimes we just waste it, while other people have nothing. Over all great job by feeding people who are less fortunate.
