We Day 2011

Me and some other students went to We Day. The experience was amazing and I'll never forget it. I enjoyed the experience so much. We Day is about so much, it's about how anyone could make a difference no matter your age. They wanted the 16,000 kids in the MTS center to make a change in the world and not just us but everyone in the world. I remember everyone speaking and telling us different ways they made a change in the world. There is all different ways that anyone can change the world and we all plan to make a difference some how. There was so many speakers like Craig and Mark Kielburger, Rick Hansen, Al Gore, Mia Farrow, Hannah Taylor who is also from Winnipeg, and so much more speakers. The experience did make me want to make a difference in the world because knowing everything that is bad about the world is sad, or just isn't right. The speakers were so inspiring and fun to here about what they did. They told us how even if we haven't made a difference at all yet it's not hard to start making one, also it doesn't matter your age at all. We got gift bags with a book, some newspapers with We Day articles, and a magazine, and a slip to sign to try and win a trip to somewhere in the world to make a difference but someone that we didn't know won. Everyone there was amazing and I hope that every student that was there and that wasn't there will try there best to make a difference in the world.
