Daphne's Graping Post

1.)DIFFERENT TYPES OF GRAPHS:

Bar Graph: Bar Graphs are best for comparing data across categories.
Advantage: It is best for comparing data.
Disadvantage: Itcould be easily misinterpreted.
Double Bar Graph: Double Bar graphs are best for comparing two sets of data across categories.
Advantage: Best for comparing two sets of data.
Disadvantage: Could be easily misinterpreted.
Circle Graph: Circle graphs are best for comparing categories to the whole using percents. The sum of the percents in a circle graph is 100%.
Advantage: Compares data to the whole using percents.
Disadvantage: It's not accurate.
Line Graph: Line graphs are best for showing changes in data over time.
Advantage: Best for showing changes in data overtime.
Disadvantages: It doesn't show the data clearly.
Pictograph: Pictograph are best for comparing data that can be easily counted and represented using symbols.
Advantage: Uses symbols to show data.
Disavantage: Could be easily misinterpreted.

2.) HOW GRAPHS CAN BE MISLEADING:

Misleading features include:

-BREAK IN THE Y-AXIS
-MAKE ONE BAR LARGER THAN THE OTHER
-COLORING ONE BAR DIFFENT THAN OTHERS

2/A.)
I would use a line graph, and a bar graph to show this set of data.
2/B.)
Yes. I would continue selling Pizza Subs. Because on what the data shows, the amount of sales are getting higher, which means you could earn more money if you continue selling.

4.)
I would chose the Line graph, because you could actually see the trend going higher and higher.

4/A.)
Line graph. I would change the amount of intervals so that it would look like the trend has more, but actually still have the same data, but different amount of intervals.
Pictograph. I would change the amount of one heart represents. So you could clearly see the amount and value of what one heart represents.
