Michael's Pay it forward

Part 1

Pay it forward was a movie the grade 8's of sargent park school watched. It was about a small boy named Trevor who's class assingment was to make a difference in the world. He thought of a "paying it forward" where instead of paying someone "back" you helping someone else. His plan was to help 3 people and those 3 each had to help another 3 people and so on. Meanwhile a reporter is talking to all of the people that have been affected by Trevor's idea until he finally finds Trevor. The reporter interviews Trevor and when he leaves, Trevor see's his friend getting bullied by some guys. Trevor tries to help him but one of the bullies pulled out a knife and stabbed him, sadly Trevor died.

Part 2

My pay it forward act of kindness was I donated some old clothes and jackets to Salvation Army.
I chose this act of kindness because some people can't afford jackets for themselves and here in Canada, it gets really cold.
I think I helped the poor and maybe some homeless people.
My dad drove me to The Salvation Army and we donated some old clothes.
I did this act of kindness on November 16, 2011

Part 3

My act of kindness went really well.
When we got to The Salvation Army, my dad took some pictures and a lady in the store thanked us for donating.
After we left I felt really good knowing that I helped someone keep warm this winter.
The lady working in the store smiled and thanked us for helping.
I didn't ask the women working in the store to Pay it forward, Because I didn't get a chance to go inside.

Part 4

The idea of "pay it forward" is important because its a fast way to help tons of people and could potentially save people's lives.
Yes, I think my act of kindness made a difference, because now some people have warm coats to wear during the cold winter.
Pay It Forward
PART 1
Pay it forward is a movie that we grade 8 had to watch. The movie is about a kid named Trevor that his class was asked to think an idea that could change the world and put it into an action. So Trevor's idea was to help three people that but it has to be hard something that they cant do by there selves and they have to do it by three other people so it will be like a big chain .Instead of getting something nice in return they have to pass the act of kindness to other people .It is like starting with me and passed on to other people so it gets larger and larger .It was possible that one small idea actually made a large difference in the world and even now the movement is still going on we could make a difference by doing something kind to others or just paying it forward

PART 2
Our act of kindness was giving note cards, candy, chocolate to our neighborhood .We did this act of kindness because if someone was having a really bad day or something tragic really happened by that card we could make them cheer up by complimenting them.We also mention in the card what pay it forward means and how they could the participate in the movement by just being kind and generous to others .We wanted to spread the phrase Pay it forward not just in our school we want to spread all around Winnipeg or maybe in the world .We did our act of kindness on November 8,2011 on a Tuesday after school .We all could make a huge difference in this world by just paying it forward or doing a act of kindness in someones life and remember it starts with you .PAY IT FORWARD
PART 3

In my opinion it think our act of kindness went well because when we were mailing cards trough out our whole neighborhood nothing went wrong and it was just perfect and we had a lot of fun and excitement while we were handing out cards in mailboxes. I felt great handing all our cards and goodie bags to the houses because i know we were making a difference and doing an act of kindness to someones life. We did not see the peoples reaction to the note but we hope that that note cheered them up and we really hope that they pay it forward .

PART 4
In my opinion the Pay it forward means really important because it means doing something nice to others with nothing in return that means generosity, kindness, and being nice. You can change someones life . It is not just a movie it is already happening in real life and even now the movement is still going on and it never stops . I think my act of kindness made a difference in someones life because you never know what is happening in their life right now and by giving them that card and goodie bag i could make them smile and forget about their problems for a little while. That is why Pay it forward is important.Lets all Pay It Forward lets make a difference in this this world. Always remember it always starts with you .

OUR PAY IT FORWARD
HOPE U LIKE IT:)

Jaydin's Pay it Forward

Part 1
Pay it Forward is a movie that every grade 8 class had to watch. The movie was about a boy named Trevor who had to make a difference in the world. He decides that he should help three people and they help another person and it goes on. The whole little chain goes on for awhile because when he helps one person then that means they'll help another person and it never stops. The whole point is so he could help make a difference starting with one person.

Part 2
My Pay it Forward action to help the world was to clean up around the school. Me and Shera went around the school and picked up trash. We tried our best to get through as much as we could because we only had a little bit of time before we had to go home.

I chose this activity because i keep hearing on the announcements that people aren't putting their garbage in the garbage. I also chose this because a clean area makes the school look much nicer instead of having garbage on the ground around it

I helped the community.

We picked up garbage around the school area to make it look nicer.

I did this act of kindness on November 15, 2011

Part 3
I think my act of kindness went well because I know i helped out the community and school.

We went to clean garbage up after school and made it look cleaner around the school.

I felt good because i know how the school doesn't like the trash around it so it felt good to know we cleaned up a lot of it.

Mr.Lambert saw us do it and he said that it was really good of us.

I am hoping that the students of the school will now pay it forward because of it looking cleaner and start putting trash in the garbage.

We did not ask because we thought we would just clean up around the school because the announcements always say to clean up.

Part 4

The idea of Pay it Forward is important to me because i think it is good to help everyone and to just be nice when ever possible.

My act of kindness has made difference because now the school is cleaner just like they wanted.

Jason's Pay it Forward

Part 1
"Pay It Forward" is a movie that all grade eights had to watch. In this movie, a boy named Trevor had to come up with a way to make a difference in the world for a social studies project he had to do for school. For his project, he had an idea that was more unique than all the others. he came up with a system called "Pay It Forward". Pay it forw
ard is when you do an act of kindness for someone, and that person does the act of kindness to 3 more people, then that causes a chain reaction. Meaning that it all starts with one person.

Part 2
For my act of kindness my friend Riley and I baked cookies and rice crispies for fire fighters. I chose to do this because they are always busy helping people so I thought they would appreciate it if they got a brake. I helped the fire fighter by giving them a brake. I did my act of kindness on November 13, 2011

Part 3
I thought that my act of kindness went good because they seemed really happy when we gave them the cookies and rise crispies. What happened was

we came there on November 13 and called down the whole crew down to listen to what we ha
d to say. After that we gave them the cookies. They were really nice so they gave is a tour of the fire station. I felt really good knowing that we made a difference because we knew by doing so it would make a bigger difference. the fire fighters reacted with satisfaction and generosity.

Part 4

The idea of "Pay it Forward" is very important because it is showing that even you can make a difference. My act of kindness has made a difference because now the fire fighters will pay it forward by saving the lives of people.

Here are some pictures of my act of kindness.

Me making rice crispies

Me giving the speech

And don't forget, it starts with you!

Isabel's Pay It Forward

Part 1: What is "Pay it Forward"?
"Pay it Forward" is a brilliant movie that we watched a few weeks ago. It is about a 7th grade student who had a project on social studies. He had an idea that if he help 3 other people then those 3 people would help another people which the total gets higher and higher every time they help another people. His idea was great but his classmates didn't like it. He tried to use his teacher, his mom and his friend but didn't worked out. What he wanted to do was a random act of kindness. He also did an interview before he died.

Part 2:
My act of kindness was donating some of my clothe to salvation army. Although they were already used, I still think that I could help people to cover up especially at this cold weather.
I choose this activity because personally I think that although my clothes were already used, I can still help other people by them buying it at a low price especially people who doesn't have a lot of money or people who likes to to buy inexpensive clothes. I also think that by donating it I would not have as much clothes as I used to have that's just sit there and let it to be worned-out in this way I would be able to get rid of it and also help other people.
I helped many people by donating clothes especially people who doesn't have a lot of money or people who likes to to buy inexpensive clothes.
After school today, my dad and my sister went with me in Salvation Army to donate clothes. Before I went in I took few pictures to post in this blog. I went in and place the paper bag with few clothes inside to the big plastic bin where the people who donates place their donation(s). After that my dad bought a couple of tools and after that we went home.
I did my act of kindness just today: November 15,2011 at 4:00 pm in Salvation Army (Thrift Store).

Part3:
My act of kindness went very very good. Just what I expected to be. I was expecting to help people to buy my donations for a very good deal. At first, I thought that my donations was a only a few clothes that could only help a few people but I realized that although it was a very little pieces of clothing I'm sure that it will help a lot of people because everything counts.
I felt inspired that at this young age I could donate clothing for other people. I felt relieved that everything went well just what I expected to happen. I was also scared that it might only help small amount of people. And lastly, I felt blessed to have this things, I was blessed to buy new clothes every week or 2, I was blessed because I didn't have to feel what its like to only have one pair of clothing like the children from other poor countries and lastly I was blessed because I am free to do all this good things to help other people.
When the time that I told my dad that I WANT to donate used clothes to Salvation Army, he said yes immediately. I think that he was happy that I do this good things to other people. My sister helped me to take pictures although it was freezing outside she went with me to take pictures and I think that she was happy because we both can do it. Although the personnels in the store didn't saw me place my donations, I think that they are very happy that another batch of clothes came in.
I told my dad that I was doing it to pay forward. Helping other people was a big thing and I also told my mom that it was a project to make a difference. But I didn't got to talk to the staffs because they were few costumers that are in line so I don't want to bother them.
Although I didn't got to talk to them about the project, I still think that they will be happy to hear the news about the project and how to make a difference.
I didn't got to talk to them because they were busy and there are a few costumers in line waiting so I didn't want to bother them.

Part4:
I think that the idea of "Paying it Forward" is important because it shows other people that everyone of us can make a difference. Although what you did was a small thing that can help a small amount of people it doesn't matter as long as you are doing the right thing.
I think that my act of kindness made a difference because I took actions to help other people.

Kyia's Pay it Forward

Part 1

What is pay it forward?
Pay it forward is a movie about a boy who has to try to make a to make a difference in the world a project his social study teacher gave him. Pay it forward to me is when you do a act of kindness and you don't want anything anything in return. the act of kindness doesn't even have to be something big it just has to make a different in someones life, and it should make you a better person.

Part 2

my act of kindness was me giving away cupcakes i made to Mr.Mark and Mr.Marquardson, i did this because they have helped me with my Volleyball and Basketball and they also help me become a better student and a person.Plus i wanted them to know that it really meant a lot to me all the help and support they have gave me so this was my way of saying thank you.

I choose to do this activity because i wanted Mr.Mark and Mr.Marquardson to know that there hard work and time means a lot to me because i love being in the gym but with them pushing me and wanted me to become a better payed in the long run.Another reason why i wanted to do this activity is because in a why they have payed it work to me and the only thing that they have asked for is for me to try my best so there time isn't going to waste, without them i would be at the level I'm at.The last reason i wanted to do pay it forward is that every feels like anything you do i making a different big or small and you never know what you have done has effected the person , school, community city, and even they world.

Well i guess i have helped myself know that you should always let someone know that there help time they put into you your thankful of it. And I'm really sure that by doing this they know how thankful am i of there work because when i gave them the cakes they had a big smile on there faces. The why they said "Thank You" put a big smile on my face because the seem really shocked because they weren't thinking i would do this but the surprise of it made it really special because no one thinks that there players are going to make them cupcakes and not want anything back that's the beauty of pay it forward.

What i did was make cupcakes for my really special and important coaches to show my respect for the

I did my act of kindness after practice because when you have gone though a long day why wouldn't you want some cupcakes to end your day as a little award of being the best coaches

Part 3

My act of kindness went great as a surprise to the coach so, they didn't know what i was doing and why they just respected the fact that it was a gift for them.!

Nothing really happened they just love the fact that i gave them the cupcakes and started practice to show that i still need to player to become better

i felled so proud of myself because i was giving back to coaches that have gave to me big and small.

They reacted really different like " wow Kyia I'm really greatful that you made this for Mr.mark

and " thank you Kyia, they taste really great" said Mr.Marquardson.

I told Mr.Mark and Mr.Marquardson to pay it forward, to go help someone and not want anything in return something they already do everyday and they are really good at it.

They reacted saying that they would love to!

Part 4

The idea for pay it forward is important because pay it forward is teaching you to become a better person. it give back help other with something big or small and not wanting anything in return.to show that you make help someone from the kindness of your heart.

My act of kindness has make a different because the coaches might not know how important there coaching is to us. So by me giving them cupcakes may have made a difference knowing that we care about their hard work.

Kim's Pay It Forward

Part 1:
The movie that we watched called "Pay It Forward" is a movie that us grade eights all had to watch. In the movie, a young child names Trevor had to think of how to make a difference in the world because of their project they were going to be doing in Social Studies. For his project, he had a unique and amazing idea that was different but more effective than all the others. His plan was a system called "Pay It Forward", where you give someone an act of kindness, and that person spreads the act of kindness to 3 more people, then the chain continues. In another way of saying this, Trevor made a difference to a whole bunch of people, starting with just one person. Trevor explained his idea with this quote during an interview he had.

"You see, I do something real good for three people. And then when they ask how they can pay it back, I say they have to Pay It Forward...to three more people. Each. So, nine people get helped. Then those people have to do twenty-seven." He turned on the calculator, punched in a few numbers. "Then it sort of spreads out, see, to eighty-one, then two hundred forty-three, then seven hundred twenty-nine, then two thousand, one hundred eighty-seven. See how big it gets?"

Part 2:
The Pay it Forward act of kindness I decided to do was to help a senior and to give them a cheerful smile at the end of the day. At first we were supposed to go to Winnipeg Harvest and Siloam Mission to interview a homeless man's story, but what was the difference anyways? Everyone has a different story, and I think that is what's important. I chose to help out with a senior because I think they should have some fun too. I thought that if I was willing to what they had to say, their past, or maybe just something that they had always kept from someone, I can make their worries disappear and help them understand that they aren't the only ones. I wanted to help because no matter what age, gender, or race, everyone deserves to have a smile on their face. What me and my partner did was keep her company from 6 am, to 12 noon. We brought her presents, baked with her, and she even told us stories about her past. We interviewed her about how she felt about society now a days, and we even got a lesson from her. Her lesson to us was that even if you are just a kid, if you believe, you can make a difference. We did our act of kindness on November 13, 2011 from 6am, to 2:00 in the afternoon to give her more presents.

Part 3:
My act of kindness overall went smoothly! Surprisingly, I somehow cried when we interviewed her because of 1, she was like the grandmother I never really had, and 2, she made me understand that no matter how much life get's, there are going to be obstacles, and we're just going to have to keep on going. When we asked her how she felt about world poverty, she replied to it so seriously. I think that was the most important answer we had from her at that time because she says that there shouldn't be a reason for all these wars or so much starvation. She stated that there are millions of dollars going to waste, yet we don't even do anything. I felt very open afterwards, like all the problems I had were nothing compared to what I realized. I felt stupid because there I was interviewing someone I barely knew, yet she knew so much and to me understands that everything you do impacts something or someone. The lady we were interviewing reacted to understanding when we shared our thoughts and ideas, and she was also very kind. It felt as if even if she had a disability, she could make a difference too, and she believed that we could also. We told her about the "Pay it Forward" project we were doing and she believed that it would work. She accepted our invitation to interview her and told us she was going to tell all her other senior friends too!

Part 4:
The idea of Pay It Forward is important because it shows us that one simple act of gesture like putting smile on someone's face would make a difference. Maybe they were having a hard time and needed someone to say everything was going to be alright. It doesn't matter whether it is big or small, what matters is that at the end of the day, we decided that we will make a difference. Who knows, if everyone in the world started doing this project, think of all the changes it would make. My act of kindness definitely made a difference because we helped her put on a smile on her face and gave her one less thing to worry about. It also worked because we now know that other people in the world want to help, they just don't know how to start.
