- bar graph

advantage- best for comparing different data across categories

disadvantage- can be easily misinterpreted

-double bar graph

advantage- best for comparing two sets of data across categories

disadvantage- can be easily misinterpreted

-line graph

advantage- best for showing changes in data over time

disadvantage- can be easily misi
nterpreted

-circle graph

advantage- best for comparing the whole using percent

disadvantage- is that you must make the sum into 100 and change the other categories to a proper percentage

-pictograph

advantage- best for comparing data that can be easily counted and represented using symbol

disadvantage- it does not show the rate of change in height

a) Distorting the scale -breaking the y-axis makes bad intervals

b) Distorting the visual -changing the size of the picture

c) Distorting the size of the bar -the area of the bar gets distorted
