PYTHAGOREAN RELATIONSHIP

1.) Explain the Pythagorean Relationship:

The phythagorean relationship is the formula that we use to find a side length of a right triangle. (a²+b²=c²)
The variable a² and b² stands for the legs of a right triangle, and the variable c² stands for the hypotenuse which is the longest side of a right triangle.

2.) Solve the missing side length:

3.) Is this a right triangle? prove it!!!

  6. Good job Daphne ! I liked how you had a lot of pictures and how it's very colorful. For the second last picture you made a mistake on your line of prime factorization (the one you circled) because you forgot to rearrange the 3, 3, 2, 2, 2, & 2. You circled "3,3,2," on one side and "2,2,2" on the other, when you were suppose to divide the numbers equally like "3,2,2," on one, and "3,2,2" on the other. But overall you did a great job putting everything we had in our notes on your scribe post! (:

  7. Great job Daphne! First of all, I liked how you bordered your pictures with colourful colours to make it look more creative and would grab our attention. Maybe for the first and second pictures though, you could have drawn a diagram about what you were talking about, like make a square and label the lengths and area? Ex: For the square part on your first picture, maybe you could have drawn out what you were talking about in both permitter and finding the area? But I liked how you circled the numbers we needed to see to help us know that those numbers are important. You should try adding a game, link, or a helpful video next time, but other than that, it was great!! Keep it up Daphne! =)

  8. Good job Daphne! I really like how you put borders in your pictures, I think that it feels like you invite people to read it because it is important. I liked how you added the chart that we did, and the examples. I also liked that you added the meaning of prime numbers. But most important, the drawing of the square with ticks which show us that it is a square. I really appreciate that you added how you got the answer. However,I wished that you added a video. But overall you did a wonderful job. Keep up the good work! :)

  10. Good Job, Daphne! I liked how you kept your pictures simple and not clustered(messy), and how you labeled some parts of your pictures with different colors to separate idea by idea for an easy and understanding explanation. I also noticed that in your 4th picture, it seemed like your explanation was squished, you could always move the square diagram off to the side if you like to ^^. Also (4th picture) isn't 3x3x2=18 and 2x2x2=8? (I was also confused on that part when I checked it on my notes D: ). I think you meant 3x2x2 (make sure to organize the prime factors into 2 equal baskets). Once again, Great Job! (sorry if I double posted)
